service times at stonewall wesleyan

At Stonewall Wesleyan, we do things a bit differently on Sunday mornings. We are confident that you will find it to be unique and something that fosters likemindedness and unity within our diverse community.

How does it work?

So here's the deal. We have many within our community who love to praise God with the newest modern worship music, in a flexible environment of posture and expression. Then there are others who find traditional music, responsive readings and times of liturgy meaningful. And of course, there are plenty who love both.

Over the years, we've tested out several formats and believe we've come across one that meets the needs of everyone within our community, as well as those yet to visit!

The Praise Launch- 10:00 A.M.

We start off our Celebration Service with a set of modern worship songs which seek to inspire and uplift hearts as we praise God. Guided by Praise Leader Joel Watson and a team of musicians, you will have the opportunity to spend about 45 minutes in praise, prayer and reflection as you stand, sit, lift your hands, bow your knees, and express your love to God in whatever manner you feel led!

Diving into the word - 10:45 A.M.

For many, it is the natural outflow to their time of worship. For others, it is the beginning of their Sunday service at Stonewall Wesleyan. In both cases, it is a unified time in the unified Word of God. Practical, applicable, and understandable teaching for all generations and walks of life.

A Time For Tradition - 11:30 A.M.

The final segment of our Celebration Service provides another time of praise. This time we celebrate the goodness of God through the tradition of the church in hymns and choruses, and rich lasting worship elements from the history of the Body of Christ.

One More Thing...

The best part of all of this is that the entire Celebration Service experience is "open." That means you can feel free to come and go to the segments that most minister to your life.

Prefer traditional music? Come for our time of teaching and stay to enjoy the majesty of traditional praise.

Enjoy modern worship music more? Come at 10:00, stay for the teaching, and join us in Common Grounds for some coffee and conversation afterwards!

Not sure? No problem! Check out one, two, or all three segments of our service to get an idea of what suits your personality. You can even create your own praise experience with elements of each from 10:15 to 11:45, or any other time frame that works for you!
