Join the entire SWC family for a cook-out to mourn the end of summer, and celebrate the arrival of fall to central Kentucky. Great food, great fun, and great fellowship. Can you imagine how difficult it is to work on furthering your education while holding down a job and dealing with all the other responsibilities you have. The students at Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU) in Lexington are taking classes in the evening in just such situations. The students really appreciate the love they received from SWC. So we are going back to IWU to share the love of Jesus with these students. Join us on any of the four nights that we will serve refreshments and talk with the students. Sign-up at the missions kiosk in the church lobby or contact Ed Frank directly. Join us at IWU from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on one or more of the following dates: Tuesday (9/23), Wednesday (9/24), Monday (9/29) and Thursday (10/2).

Have you heard about Step-by-Step but not yet visited? Do you want to help out, but cannot make it to every meeting? Then SWC’s Step By Step ministry night is where you need to be. SWC is calling all hands on deck to help be a blessing to the moms, the kids, and the Step By Step ministry team by joining with your SWC family to encourage, support, and serve together for an evening. There will always be some way you can contribute and be a blessing.

You might be thinking that it is too early to start thinking about the next mission trip to Hephzibah Children's Home in Macon, Georgia. Well, the slots to serve at Camp Pathway can fill up fast. So in order to get the week some of you have said would work, we have gone ahead and confirmed dates for June 2009. It is not too early for you to mark it on your calendar, make plans to join the travel team, and start praying for this ministry and the people who find themselves led to go to Georgia next June. Go mark your calendars right now for June 21-27, 2009, it is not too early. And, if you want to get your name down to be on the travel team, let me know so I can keep you up to date and make sure you have a seat on the way down.
